About Us
Welcome to St Timothy’s Pre-School
Founded in 1975, St. Timothy’s Preschool is a long-standing non-profit program dedicated to nurturing young children through play, connection, and community. As a social outreach ministry of St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church, our preschool reflects the Church’s mission by living out its values every day. While we do not provide formal religious instruction or worship, we foster an environment rooted in compassion, kindness, and respect—helping children grow socially, emotionally, and developmentally. Sharing, caring, good manners, and empathy are woven naturally into each child’s day.
At St. Timothy’s, our highest priority is creating a loving, inclusive, and supportive environment where children feel safe to explore, learn, and grow. We welcome families of all genders, races, nationalities, and religious or ethnic backgrounds. Our preschool is guided by an appointed Board of Directors, made up of representatives from both St. Timothy’s Church and the local community, ensuring strong leadership and community involvement.
We offer small, morning classes for children ages 3 to 5, held from 8:45 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Families may also choose from several optional extended-day programs, including Early Birds (7:45–8:45 a.m.), Lunch Bunch (12:00–1:30 p.m.), and our afternoon enrichment and after-care programs—STAC or STEP—from 1:30–4:00 p.m. Our Kindergarten-Readiness curriculum is thoughtfully designed to inspire curiosity and confidence, with daily experiences in art, math, science, music and movement, and language arts.
St. Timothy’s Preschool is licensed by the State of Virginia and is a proud member of the National Association of Episcopal Schools. Our dedicated staff are trained in first aid and CPR, and their qualifications meet or exceed all State of Virginia requirements—giving families peace of mind while children enjoy a joyful and enriching preschool experience.
